Tuesday 18 October
A big Happy Birthday to Herc's mum, Legacy of Parnassus, daughter of PB and Penelope. Legacy is the proud dam of 22 ridged puppies from 2 ltters. She is 8 years of age and just recovery from a mastectomy, for what turned out to be a benign growth on one of her mammary glands.
Friday 14th October
Well today was the day I have been waiting for for almost 2 years. I tookdelivery of Am Ch Hercules of Parnassus when he arrived at Brisbane airport.
After a glitch with the computer system at AQIS and Customs, Herc sat in his crate at Brisbane airport for 3.5 hours before Customs decided they would release him to me. By that time, he had been in his crate for around 9 hours after travelling from Christchurch! I put a collar on him and got him out of the crate and he gave me a kiss, gave himself a shake and headed for the nearest bush to do a huge pee!! Then he jumped into my car as if it was the natural thing to do and he has not looked back since. He is gorgeous and his temperament is amazing.
Saturday 15th at The Rock Ag Show, Dudley was Best of Breed, Cracker was Runner Up Best of Breed and Best Open Exhibit in Hound Group and Sassy was Challenge Bitch.
Friday 14th at Benalla Kennel Club Show with judge Mrs Nina Bieberitz (Bulawayo RRs), Cracker was Best of Breed, Dudley was Runner Up Best of Breed and Best Intermediate in Hound Group and Chilolo SJ Brash N Sassy was Challenge Bitch.

On 5th September, I arrived back in Queensland and it was so good to see my dogs again after such a long time away. Now we are getting ready for the trip to the Sydney RR Show at the end of the month.

August 2005
|
|
Greg and I flew to Germany for two weeks and then he came back to Queensland and I stayed on in Europe to fulfil my judging commitments in Switzerland and Scotland.
On 21st August, I judged the 25th Anniversary RR Show held in Zug, Switzerland. Luckily, the Swiss Club had arranged for the show to be under cover as there was heavy rain in the afternoon and evening. I understand there was severe flooding later that night and we were lucky to depart Zug before the main highway was cut. My Best in Show was a young male bred in Finland - he was lovely and was very well handled and presented.
On 28th I judged RRs at the Scottish Kennel Club and it was good to catch up with some old friends in that area.

July 2005
|
|
On 5th July, Greg and I left Australia for Hong Kong and China where we spent 3 days before going on to London. We hired a car and spent the rest of July staying with friends in Hastings, Bristol, Cornwall, Wales, Scotland and London. I only made it to one dog show at Paignton and that is a story in itself! It was good to catch up with some of the UK exhibitors and see their dogs. I was also pleased to see Sonstraal Christmas Eve (Fudge) who is a daughter of BIS Ch Chilolo CJ Someday Sam. Fudge is only a young bitch but is really making her presence felt on the show scene and already has one ticket which is very unusual for a youngster given the numbers of RRs at every show.
Back in Australia, on 18th at the North of the Harbour International Championship Show in Sydney, BISS Ch Chilolo SX Ice on Mars takes Best of Breed and Group 2 (Runner Up in Hound Group) under Ms Janet Buckanan from Canada. Way to go Marsy Man!! Thanks to Kim Miller for handling Mars for his owner, Lesley Cherry.
