Without a doubt the highlight of our year with the dogs was the 2004 Australian Rhodesian Ridgeback National Show held in Melbourne on 20/21 March and judged by Mrs Dorothy Grayson-Wood from the UK. With a near record entry of over 220 Ridgebacks, Chilolo RRs achieved 3 of the 4 major awards: RUNNER UP BEST IN SHOW - CHALLENGE BITCH: Aust Ch Chilolo Chicken Ripple RESERVE CHALLENGE BITCH: Aust Ch Chilolo Eternity Ring   RESERVE CHALLENGE DOG: BIS Aust Ch Chilolo SX Ice on Fire Other awards at the National include: 3rd Baby Puppy Dog: Chilolo SS Just A Chance 2nd Intermediate Dog:   BIS Aust Ch Chilolo SX Ice on Fire 4th Australian Bred Dog Class:   BISS Aust Ch Chilolo SX Ice on Mars 1st Puppy Bitch Class:   Chilolo SJ Shani Sarabi 2nd Puppy Bitch Class: Chilolo SJ Brash N Sassy 4th Australian Bred Bitch:   Aust Ch Chilolo Sorrento Blue 1st Open Bitch:   Aust Ch Chilolo Chicken Ripple 2nd Open Bitch:   Aust Ch Chilolo Eternity Ring (half sister to Ripple) MOST SUCCESSFUL BREEDER:   CHILOLO Also, in 2004 we were very proud to achieve our 15th Best in Show award when Emma handled Sam (Ch Chilolo CJ Someday Sam) to BEST IN SHOW ALL BREEDS in January.   Sam has since been exported to Scotland where he lives with Sharon Rossiter and Anthea Fox, Sonstraal Kennels.  Sam is a litter brother to Ripple.
